Can't figure out how to create custom slide layout

All I want to do is create a custom slide layout that will then be used on every single slide in my presentation. I want no title, just text, and I want to be able to change the margins on the text box.

And then every slide will have that same format.

I can’t figure out how to do this.

I think the information is available on Impress guide, chapter 2· Using Slide Masters, Styles, and Templates

See: Creating Your Own Templates on page 49 of the Impress Guide

Thanks for the help. I’ve been able to figure out how to make it work.

I switched the view to Slide Master. I wasn’t able to get rid of the title box, but I was able to change the type size to very small and move it out of the way down at the bottom of the slide. I was then able to reposition the text or outline box, change its width, and change its height to what I wanted (which was about half the slide height).

I then saved that as a template, which I could choose on creating a new presentation.

At least the first time I did this, for some reason I didn’t get a text box on the first slide. But then when I hit Ctrl-M to create a new slide, it was there. So I just deleted the first slide.

It would be nice to know how to make the text size a fixed size. Whenever I paste text into my text box, it auto-adjusts according to the size of the box, making the text bigger if there’s less of it, smaller if there’s more.

In any event, thanks for the help. We’re functional now.
