Using Calc under MacOS, the display fonts are way too large. With the zoom setting at 100%, the height of a 10-point Geneva capital M in a Calc cell is 12 pixels. The same character in Font Book is 8 pixels. That’s 50% too big, and it makes LibreOffice look like a Playskool toy in comparison to other MacOS applications.
If I reduce the zoom level to 65%, I get a display font that looks about right, but now the rows are too short for the row label font, which is now close to being cropped. The labels certainly fade into the rule lines.
This image shows LibreOffice Calc at 100%, at 65%, Font Book, and Excel all with Geneva 10pt.
This is not a new problem with LibreOffice 6; I was just hoping that it had been fixed with this big release.
How can I get LibreOffice Calc to look better?
