Impress fails to display anything in presentation mode

I have the latest version of LibreOffice Impress. When I start the presentation mode (F5) I only get a white background with a little hourglass in the corner of the screen. If I press a key to move forward in the slides, it does nothing, and I need to use ESC to get back to the edition mode.

See below for version of LibreOffice and OS:

Version: 6.0.1.1 (x64)
Build ID: 60bfb1526849283ce2491346ed2aa51c465abfe6
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;

Thanks.

Had the same problem. Found the answer by jmbouffard and tried it and it worked. Realising its then a display problem, I fixed it while still keeping my native resolution of 2736 x 1824

Go to Tools; Options; LibreOffice; View and under Graphics Output make sure ONLY Use Anti-Aliasing and Use OpenGL for all rendering are ticked.

Use hardware acceleration was initially ticked which gave me my problems in the first place. Using a Suface Pro 4, Win 10

This worked for me too (Windows 10, Dell laptop, no need to change the resolution).

Are you using an ultrawide monitor? Changing resolution to 1920*1080 ‘fixed’ it for me.

The problem exists on 5.4 as well.

My native resolution is 2560x1440 therefore I tried what you suggested and changed it to 1920x1080 and it mostly worked. At that new resolution, the slides were rendered properly, however, there is still a little glitch. It seems like the slide does not cover the full screen, there is a line of 1-2 pixels at the bottom and right side of the slide where I can see my desktop and taskbar. This is pretty annoying.

I don’t recall having this issue before, was this introduced in a recent version?
