How do I insert the current date into a comment box in LO Calc? It is done using insert in MS Excel but I cannot find a similar solution in LO Calc. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Insert -> Date is disabled while editing comments. So instead, do Insert -> Date (Ctrl+;) in a cell and then cut and paste into the comment.

To me, this makes sense to enable, so perhaps you could file an enhancement request.
