Changing a single page colour

how do I change the colour of a single page without changing all the pages?

Use “Styles”

How you get at them depends on what OS you’re on. But at the bottom of the “Styles” menu from the top bar, the last item should (might?) be “Managing Styles” – that should open the “flyout” Style manager.

  • Click on the icon for “Page”
  • right-click the (top) “Default Style” entry, and select “New…”
  • Give it a name (“Colour Page” or whatever),
  • and select “Default Style” as the “Next style:”,
  • then use the “Area” settings to set your page colour.
  • Save (OK).

You can then right-click on a page, and choose your new style from the “Organiser” tab in the dialog that opens.

All appearance of a page is bound to a page style. You have to define a new page style and apply it to that page and the back to the regular style on the next page.
