Option Buttons Not Working after upgrade to 5.4.5.1

I was using an old version (3.4??) of libre office and just installed version 5.4.5.1. On my embedded base form all my option buttons are still showing but the dot is no longer showing on the radio button for the option selected. The table looks good, i.e. the bolean field shows a tick. If I select an option on the form the dot appears but when I go back to the record it is blank again. I have the style for these options as 3D. I am using the embedded database, I have a 64 bit operating system, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Home Version 1709. Libra Office Version is 5.4.5.1 (x64).

Hello,

This WAS a problem back in v5.3.0.1 under Bug #105463.

This problem was Flat would not display but 3D was OK. Opposite of what you state.

This was fixed in v5.3.2.2 and and the problem with check boxes was fixed in v5.3.4.2.

I am currently using v6.0.2.1 on Linux Mint 18.3 and see no current problem nor have I for the last few versions.

This may be a Windows version problem and you should report the Bug.

You may first want to try running in Safe Mode (menu item Help) first to see if there might be a problem with your user profile.

EDIT:

One more thought. Make sure OpenGL is turned off. From menu Tools->Options. Then under LibreOffice->View make sure Use OpenGL for all rendering is not checked.

I tried everything you mention and the problem persists. I raised bug #116507. FYI This problem happens whether I have 3D or flat style, Open GL on or off. The database will get updated if I select the option, it just does not display the option when I go back to the record. I tried check box and it does not work either. I have a checkbox in a sub form list that works properly.

Did u fix it? I am suffering the same issue!

Hi Folks,
I ran into this problems as well. I’m using LO Version: 6.4.5.2 in opensuse 15.2.
I found that exporting the PDF with the Archive(PDF/A ISO 19005), PDF/A-2b seemed to be causing the problem.
When I selected the PDF/A-1b option, the radio buttons and check boxes all displayed as expected.
Hope this helps,
Brad

@bcain,

This post was concerning controls on a Base form. That problem has been resolved. Your notation is abut an exported PDF. This is another separate/different issue. Your solution did not work using Ubuntu 20.04 with LO v 7.0.4.2

Oops. Sorry @Ratslinger. I missed the ref to base in the original and already had been searching for a similar problem with option buttons/check boxes not showing selected status on exported PDFs.
