how do I make a load of slides on a draw file be a slide show ?

  1. Draw: Export as pdf
  2. PDF24: Print out as single png files (see: https://en.pdf24.org/pdf-to-image-converter.jsp) - Windows
  3. On Linux use terminal for converting to png files
  4. Impress: Import (menu Insert > Media) Gallery

Did you try to make a copy of the document and change the extension to .odp?
