Printing 3X5 index cards

My 5th grade son had printed some flash cards for school on index cards using Open Office. I uninstalled OO and installed Libre Office but now the Canon laser printer won’t print the pages on the index cards any more. He had set them up as 3" X 5" pages in OO. They showed up in two columns with 6 rows in both programs, but only about half of the print hits the card. There is no 3" X 5" option on the printer output dialogue.

Any help would be most appreciated. My wife is rather upset with me.

You can’t just use the “Format Page” and choose “User” and set the page size to 3X5, or 5X3?

The LO printer setting FILE > PRINTER SETTINGS allows you to choose the physical paper size for the printer. The printer must already have been defined to the system, and must be able to print 3 x 5 cards. Only one of my printers allows me to choose this option.

The Page Style (Right click on the page and choose Page) will allow you to choose the logical layout. Set the page paper Page size and margins to place your output onto the page.

Use the page preview to check your output will fit neatly on the page.
If your printer no longer allows you to choose the 3 x 5 option, you haven’t changed its settings in any way have you?
I hope you fix the problem to your wife’s satisfaction. Mine is a retired headmistress so I am always on my best behaviour.
