Problem to open fake XLS file

Hello!
I have problem to open an Excel file called “Exchange per country_2018_Daily” almost at the bottom of the list
here. (Direct link to the xls-file)

By an old version of Office 2000 (and Windows 7) I it looks like this:

No way to export it as xml, csv,… By Libreoffice I am not able to make the right choice here:

Anyone that can give me a good advice?

The file in question is not a true XLS file but a HTML file, and you can’t do anything about it. Interestingly, the file opened pretty fine in AndrOpen Office on my smartphone (the dates in the first column, however, were imported as mere text, but it was rectified by ticking Detect special numbers on a second attempt of import). Well, try it.

The needed filter is Web Page Query (Calc) (*.html;*.htm;*.xhtml). You will find it in the file type drop-down-list of the file open dialog. You need not change the file name extension, if you first select the file and then select the filter.

Thank you very much!
Web Page Query - or “Nettsidespørjing” in Norwegian - solved the problem. I will bring over this information to the Nordpool Co., a market place for trading of electricity in Scandinavia/Northern Europe. (The file list up daily net import/export of MWh for 7 countries).

Regina, this was useful for me in another way; Many times I face problems when I try to download tables from webpages. Try/fail…try/fail… Now you have teached me to save the entire webpage and then do the job later - also when I’m oflline.
