I have installed LO 6.0.3.2 and the JRE is 10.0.1. Both are X86_64 versions. The circle against the JRE is highlighted in the Advanced Tools box but I still get JRE defective error message. What have I done wrong? I’m not an IT expert so some plain english help would be appreciated.
What OS are you using? If it is a MAC you need to install JDK. If not what are you doing to get the error? What specifically is the error? If Windows are you trying to connect to Access DB? More specific info please.
I’m using Windows 10. LO Base fails when I try to create a new data base and when I try to open an existing data base. LO and Java folders are both in /Program Files/. In /Program Files (x86) sits Open Office and Java (1.8.0_171) and it works fine.
It’s possible LO is having trouble with Java 10 under Win 10 (happened with Mac prior). Don’t see a bug report on this but did mention it in another comment a while back but never got a reply. Don’t use windows but neighbors system works fine with Java 1.8.0_131 installed. May want to try Java 9 or 8 JRE & if it works report bug regarding Java 10.
I resolved my experience with lo base by switching back to 32-bit version. The 64-bit version and Java 10.1 just don’t mix well for whatever reason. Things are now moving along smoothly. Hope the problem for 64-bit is resolved prior to next release.

Errr… are there any prerequisites for that? E.g., a developer knowing about that? like, say, because some user having that problem had reported that to them?
