I want to keep track of my checks, deposits and auto debits but don’t know how to set up a spreadsheet to keep track. Are there templates in LibreOffice I can use?

You may want to start at LO Extensions & templates. There seem to be a few there → Search results for checkbook.
It would seem likely that a Google search on Libre checkbook templates would also produce some results.

Honestly, I’d be a little concerned about even using a spreadsheet for a checkbook if you don’t know how to set one up. How will you know enough not to make a mess of it once you are using it? If you don’t even know how to set up a simple spreadsheet, you don’t know enough to be using one. This is pretty important data. My answer to you would be to thoroughly learn Calc first before trying to manage important personal info in it.

No personal information. Just want to keep track of a remodeling project and didn’t want to do the work if a simple template existed. Pretty mundane stuff on a computer that doesn’t go online much. Thanks for your comment
