How do I change what page number to start with in Impress? (again)

I divided a very large presentation into two presentations. But I need that the first page of the second is not the one, but the appropriate one.

Start second presentation by using Hyperlink (or interaction). When creating the hyperlink the page (slide) number of second one can be chosen. When mouse is over the text or other object which triggers the hyperlink it shows the path to it, at its end you see the detail like #Slide3 - the linked presentation then starts at page 3.

To start second presentation in presentation mode install extension impressrunner.

You have to apply the property of immediate start of the presentation to the second, the hyperlinked file. When starting, the edit mode shows for short time and then the presentation switches into presentation mode.

Normally, the second presentation starts in foreground. If not so add following property to the hyperlink:

  • Further settings / Frame: _top

edit

Regarding your comment one could duplicate the entire presentation, mark the pages from 1-41 as hidden and then link to page 42 (page 42 shows then). At the moment is seems not possible to alter/edit the field “Slide Number” as you can do on Writer, where it is easy to do. It likely is “under construction” in Impress (bug?).

Versions: 5.4.7.2 and 6.0.4.2

I installed impressrunner.
I try both suggestions: An ineractions and a hyperlink.
Both suggestion work correctly.
When I click on the last slide of the first presentation start the second presentation.
But the number pages is ONE.
The last page of the first presentation is 41 and firts page of the second presentation must to be 42.
Therefore the procedure is useless for what I need.
Anyway, thank you for answering.
