how do I delete all headers in a document

i have converted a pdf to docx to modify it using LibreOffice Writer. All pages have converted header. Only way I found so far is to delete them 1 at a time – not convenient or expedient. I need to delete the head for every page, my document has in excess of 70 pages. thanks.

Open the style navigator with F11 and click on the fourth icon from left (Page Styles) in the toolbar. This will list all the existing page styles. Select Applied Styles from the menu at bottom. The list is now reduced the the used styles.

  • Right-click on each style one after the other and choose Modify. Go to the Header tab. Uncheck Header on box.

  • Proceed similarly with Footer in case footers contain titling you don’t like.

  • Click OK.

This is convenient unless the converter assigned one page style per page.

Yup, assigned one page style per page, or so it seems. I think there is a problem with the document length of 200+ page. Running ThinkPad with 16GB memory that handles statistical computing just fine, but OOW seems to quiver, yes, quiver. If I delete a few headers (on a few pages) individually, they come back! Any help greatly appreciated.

This seems a different question, do open a new one and don’t hesitate to give maximum information.

In your comment, you mention OOW, i.e. OpenOffice Writer. You’re here on a site dedicated to LibreOffice. Though both suites have the same origin, there exists differences between them. Consequently, if you confirm OO, start with their site and come back later.
