I have had a persistent problem for a while now, currently with Libre Writer in Libre Office 5.3, run by Windows 10 Home v 1803. Cannot open ODT files, whatever route I try, without restarting the computer. Would like to find a solution which did not involve reboot?
Is it so that when the problem happens, multiple soffice.bin processes are running in the task manager? and terminating them solves the issue? and the problem possibly starts when you open after a crash, and restore dialod was open? and upgrading to 6.0 coluld help - as per tdf#38915?
Normally only working on two or three open text files at a time but will check Task Manager next time, thanks. Not sure what you mean about re-opening after a crash with Restore Dialog open?
When you try to open a Document after a crash a Restore Dialog pops. Are you sure it is not hidden behind other opened (non LO) windows?
