I have created some files in LibreOffice Calc that have cells containing short paragraphs, typically about 200-300 characters long. After saving the file and then reopening the file, I'm finding that those cells are truncated at 255 characters. Any additional characters I had in the cell are no longer there.

Is there some setting either in LibreOffice or Windows 10 where I can remove or revise this character limitation?

Very grateful for any guidance anyone can provide as it's most important for my work to figure this out.

Thank you!

I can't reproduce this issue. Does the same thing happen with any file or only that particular file? What format are you saving it in?

The cell text limit is 32767 characters. Please give more data (edit the question; don't use answers to give more details to question): LO version; file format. Also a sample file would be useful.

My apologies for the delayed response, and thank you hjek and Mike for your responses.

Interestingly - and for reasons unknown - I have not been able to reproduce the problem I had initially posted. It seems that the problem was with just one specific file, but I have since not had the problem after testing a few new files. So all seems to be fine now.

Thank you again for your responses and effort to help -- much appreciated!
