I have added a word by mistake to the dictionary , then I have erased that word on this file

~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/wordbook/standard.dic

Now, Is close and reopen LO-Writer the only option to the changes takes effect?

system: Ubuntu 18.04
LO: 6.0.3.2 ,included by default on ubuntu

Dictionary files, the fonts list and other such resources are loaded when Libre starts, so if you make any changes in such files or add fonts with Libre running, you have to restart Libre for the changes to take effect.
