Image captions disappear in LibreOffice Writer

I was editing an odt document in LibreOffice Writer, version 4.0.2.2 and added some images with captions into the document. I saved the document. The next day I opened the document, I noticed, that the captions from some of the new and also from some of previously added images have disappeared.

The document has also previously been edited with older versions of LibreOffice, where the problem described above never happened.

Also, right clicking on the frame of one of the images whose caption has disappeared causes LibreOffice to crash. The problem (and the crashing also) persists after restarting LibreOffice and recovering the document.

Is it possible to get my captions back?

Edit:
Bug reports for caption disappearance and crashing have been submitted.

Okay, I found the answer myself. The captions hadn’t completely disappeared as in ceased to exist. They had just gone behind the corresponding images. To solve the problem, I moved the images around and the captions were back.

This happens to me in LibO 5. Indeed, just moving around the image and undoing brings the captions back… but only briefly. Then, during the same session, the captions re-disappear.

I haven’t found a way to make the correction permanent, nor have I been able to reproduce with a test file.

Same her. LO V.5 captions disappear. Moving the image back and forth helps, but only briefly. Now thinking of adding images with the caption as part of the image…
