Merge .svg image files into one

I have some .svg images that i have put in the LibreOffice writer. Now i want to merge these all those individual .svg images into one since it will be in a group and doesn’t make the individual images move/alter here and there when some text is added or altered.

I tried cntrl+right click but in vain.

How can i solve this issue?

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Seems that this is one of those object types that can only be selected individually in Writer.

As a workaround, you can paste them to Draw, and group there, then copy the result back to Writer.

Even i copied them to Draw, but there also i am unable to group them. I tried cntrl+right click but in vain… Any suggestions on this?

In Draw: either Shift+Click, or use Select tool (topmost on the left vertical toolbar).

I have inserted a text in the image and now how do i merge the text to the image?

what means “I have inserted a text in the image”? inserted where? how?

I inserted a text box and i have dragged the text box onto the image (i have inserted (a) and (b) in the text box just to differentiate the images…)

If you paste the SVG to Writer from Draw, and added the text box in Writer, then use Select tool (an arrow) - the first on the Drawing toolbar (enable that toolbar using Show Draw Functions button on Standard toolbar).

You could also add caption to the object by right-clicking the object and choosing Insert Caption....

And reading documentation could help.

I have added the text to the image and now i need to merge the image and the text now. How can i merge these two?

From the Q&A ping-pong, I don’t even know if you are using an image from Draw, and why my previous answer didn’t fit you. Seems that it’s a game of learning by making others guess everything for you instead of trying to read some manual first.

How to ask questions the smart way

Use Inkscape for working with SVG and export result to one SVG (or another format) file. Then insert your resulting file into Writer
