Download encountered a fatal error

I was downloading LibreOffice 6.1.0.3 on a PC running Office 7 Pro when about a tenth of the way complete the program encountered a fatal error (I don’t know the error I can’t get back to that dialog box) The program locked up and I can’t remove it. The download dialog box (installation wizard) can’t be removed using the cancel button or by the “X” in the upper right corner. Please Help me remove the Installation Wizard dialog box from my computer.
Thanks in advance… I tried installing a second copy of LibreOffice but I get an error saying there is another instance of LibreOffice downloading and I must wait until it completes…

By Office 7 Pro, you mean Windows 7 Pro, I presume. And you’re very muddled about this.

Downloading isn’t the same as installing. You download the install program, then you run the install program, which starts a wizard to guide you through the install process. The install program doesn’t download anything.

In your case the installation program apparently crashed. You should ask a friend who is computer savvy to remove the failed installation. Only after that can you try to install again.

Yes, you’re correct I meant Windows 7 pro OS… Anyway, the installation of LibreOffice was far too difficult so I took the money I was going to donate and purchased a copy of Windows Office 2016 which downloaded and installed effortlessly. I say this not with malice but just to indicate I had problems with LibreOffice and none with Windows Office 2016. Thank you for your prompt reply!
