Move/indent the separator line for footnotes

Hello,

Suppose I am writing a document with an indentation of 2cm. Since I want to have a consistent look, I indent the footnotes too. So far so good. But between the actual text and the footnote section is the separator line. This line sits still at the left of the page without any indentation and I do not see a possibility to change this.

The only way I can influence the position of the separator line is by the position attribute and the values “left”, “centered” and “right”. Of course I could work around this by setting the position to “centered” and adjusting the length until it corresponds to the indentation. But doing this is rather tedious and I lose the ability to set the length arbitrarily.

Therefore I would like the see a possibility to set the indentation of the separator line for footnotes.

Thanks

(FYI: My current use case is a seminar paper in (german) law)

Wouldn’t it be easier to simply set the left page margin to a larger value? This will shift the entire page contents to the right. Paragraph style indents are mainly for special types of content that differ from the text body in some way. I am not familiar with your use case however it would seem unusual to need to set all types of content indented.

Thanks! It seems I have overlooked that possiblity. Sorry for the noise.
