I am looking for a symbol to repeat the same Column letter into a running series of formulas.

A4*2=Your question is unclear. First, what you wrote in the question does not look like formulas in calc, where formulas begin with =, and there’s no assignments to cells (= is used for comparison). Second, when written like =A1=2, (drag-)copying the cell downwards retains the column, and modifies the row part of reference (since A1 is a relative notation). So, clarification of the question needed to understand what you do and what you need.
