I have just updated to version 6.0.6.2 of Libre Office on my IMac. I am disappointed to see that in Writer, the fonts selection areas seem to have disappeared. e.g. I used to be able to select Times New Roman 12pt, but I no longer see that. Instead I see various paragraph styles. Is there some way I can get back to seeing things as they used to be?

I’ve just found the answer myself, thanks. By opening the Properties deck in the sidebar I can now see what used to be next to the paragraph style box in the Styles toolbar. The odd thing is, it’s only changed in Writer.
