I have transferred word and calc files saved with LO from one computer to new windows 10 computer and now can’t open the files through windows file explorer. File explorer crashes and the message “not responding” comes up. Happens with all files with ms word extension although odt files OK
Under Win-10 e.g. click on a text file on the right. Select “Open With.” Then select “Other App”. Select “LibreOffice”. Check “Always use this app to open odt files”. “odt” stands for all files MS and LibreOffice. Repeat this process for all file types. Can this help you (?), then close your question.
