Cannot access built-in help

I installed LibreOffice Version 6.1.0.3 on two computers and also installed the new help package (6.1.0 for Windows). I can not access the built-in help, however. F1 or selecting help from the menu takes me to the online help. Yes, I have rebooted my computer.

I am running Windows 10 x64.

How do I re-enable built-in help?

Same problem. I am a new user and need the help system!

Hello,

Are you certain the Help isn’t working? In v6.1 the off-line help opens in a browser. Check the URL. If it begins with file it is the off-line help and https is the on-line help.

It is working as you said it should. I didn’t realize that it opened in a browser now.
And having said that, I think the new method is horrible. The old way, with it’s self-contained windowing system, was easier and certainly took up less screen space.
But, thanks for answering.

Which browser do you use? The help uses ‘grid’ in its styles. Not all browser can work well with ‘grid’.
