print first page button: someone help me with a macro?

Hi people, could you help me?

Usually at work I have to print the entire document PLUS the first page (to get a date stamp by the receiver).

My print dialog takes too long to load. I think it’s because of my Brother L2520DW drivers, they are unfortunately very slow.

So i always have to wait a lot until it prints the first part of the job (the whole document) and after printing i still have to wait again the print dialog just to print the first page.

It’s fast to print the whole document if I use “print directly function”.

But… is there any simple way I can just press a Button and PRINT JUST THE FIRST PAGE?

Does someone can help me doing a macro for that? Or thinking about another solution.

Thanks.

You can try updating the printer driver.

If you do not choose “Direct Print”, but “Print” comes a dialog box “Print”. There you can specify which page (s) you would like to print.

  1. Get Useful Macro Information For OpenOffice.org By Andrew Pitonyak.
  2. Find there 5.6.1. Print Current Page.
  3. Grab the macro code and modify as necessary.
  4. Enjoy.
