how to open .doc in LO automatically

I used to double click a .doc or a .odt file, it would be opened in LO automatically. Now, when I click any of them (even a .odt file), a screen comes up asking me to buy MSOffice. (I am using LO ver: 6.1.0.3, Windows 10)

Is your Problem like this: I cannot open my OpenDocument Text files that were created, as I recall, using LibreOffice writer. I can open the only WordPad file in my Documents library..
