When I try to paste images from the internet or from photoshop into Writer, it only allows me to do one or two. After that, it will only paste the previous image. Closing down and restarting can help, but when I have a lot of images to paste, it’s not a practical way to work. Please help me solve this problem. It’s doing my head in!

I can confirm that there’s a problem with “stuck” clipboard contents in LibreOffice on Windows (at least I see it on Windows - you didn’t mention neither LO version, nor OS). That is a bug that should go to bug tracker… unfortunately, at least for me, it’s not easily reproducible.
The documentation explains how to copy and paste. I know how to copy and paste, but it’s not working properly.
When you talk about a stuck “clipboard”, pardon me for sounding a bit dim, but is there any way to access this “clipboard” and see what’s going on there? I have version 5.4 running on Windows 10.
Of course there is - just launch your Visual Studio IDE, and attach its debugger to the running LibreOffice… 
Seriously though - unfortunately I haven’t been able to reproduce this reliably to debug yet.
Mike, I do appreciate you trying to help. Unfortunately, Visual Studio IDE? - I’ve just had a look, downloaded it and first impression: it might as well be in Chinese. I use computers, I don’t know the first thing about programming them.
So basically, I’m stuck with this problem, aren’t I? I suppose I will just have to look for an alternative to Libreoffice if it can’t do the job properly…

I copy an image in the usual way, and then when I try to paste it, a previous image is pasted. And no matter where on the document I try to paste it or how many times I try to re-copy, the same image is pasted. It seems that after successfully copying and pasting one or two images, I can no longer copy and paste a fresh image. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s happening a lot these days.
