Whenever I open any document I get an error message. How do get this corrected?

Error loading BASIC of document file:///C:/Users/Basic/AppData/Roaming/LibreOffice/4/user/basic/Standard/script.xlb/:
General Error.
General input/output error.

Choose Tools - Customize - Events tab. Check the “Save In” selector (select LibreOffice). Remove macros from “Open Document” event and others. See more here.

When I select Tools, Customize, under Events there is no Save In selector.

The Save choices include Save Document, Saving of Document Failed, Save Document As, and ‘Save as’ has failed,

OOPS! Sorry, now I see what you mean.

I selected the Libre Office choice in the Save In drop-down.

When I click on Macros, Macro Selector comes up, and there is a long list (25+) of choices, and many have sub menus.

So I am supposed to go through all these macros, and remove them?

One choice is Gimmicks, Get Text, Get Annotations.

When I select it and click OK, nothing happens.

Trying to follow the instructions on the “here” link, I try to Organize Macros-LibreOffice BASIC, and I am also presented with a baffling number of choices.

Is there any way I can uninstall LibreOffice and prevent the reinstallation from coming back with the same problems? A truly fresh installation? I tried the Repair option after Uninstall, and am presented with the same problems. All docs are displayed so tiny that I cannot possibly work with them.

Reinstalling LibreOffice will not help - you need to reset your LibreOffice user profile instead (see last option in dialog appearing on performing Help -> Restart in Safe Mode)
