How do I prevent a background color being auto duplicated from the previously edited cell?

Within the spreadsheet, I might have a cell (No 1) with a RED background, which I then change to GREEN

I then move to the next cell (No 2)(which say, is BLUE), change the data and when I then move to the next cell (No 3). LO will change cell No 2 from BLUE to GREEN, ie it duplicates the colour from the previous cell that I had edited.

I have turned off all items in AutoCorrect Options and Localized Options.

XL did the same, ie duplicated a colour, however, by selecting Cmd Z, it would revert to the cell’s previous colour but leave the newly changed content, unchanged.

Regardless of whether I move from the edited cell via Enter, Tab or mouse, it will always change the colour.

So, in the example above where it changes Cell No 2 to GREEN and I want it to stay its original BLUE, the only workaround is:

  • re-select the current cell’s background to it’s existing colour of BLUE before I move from the cell, or
  • Move from the cell (whose colour will now be changed to GREEN) - move back to the cell and change the background back to BLUE.

I have just updated to Ver 6.0.6 in the hope that this might have been addressed but unfortunately there is no change. Perhaps it is deliberate feature, and if so, is there somewhere, where I can turn it off.

Thank you
