I've accidentally changed the pointer icon to zoom and can't change it back, so I'm permanently zooming

How do I change it back please? I can’t see a way to choose the function.

Can you provide a screenshot (or a link to one) of the problem?

Maybe you clicked on the Zoom & Pan icon (image description, or choosed menu View - Zoom - Zoom & Pan). This is not a function of Writer (as you tagged the question), but of Impress and Draw. To return to normal pointer, just press Esc, or click again on the icon.

Tested with LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 (x64); OS: Windows 10.0.

This might be a Windows Magnifier issue, nothing to do with LibreOffice. Using Windows Key and modifier

  • Win++ magnifies by 100% each press
  • Win± reduces by 50% each press
  • Win+Esc exits Magnifier

I didn’t know those shortcuts. I learned something new. Coud be this. Add it as a possible answer.

I vaguely recall having the pointer change to a magnifier a long time ago. It might have been an earlier iteration of Magnifier or might have been 3rd party tool. I might remember in a day or two, or not.
