widget to choose color and size for outline and shadow.

Is possible to add menubar widget for color and size for text outline and shadow?
I really need to add outline to my text in impress but at the moment i have to pass trough multiple menus to apply it.
Also i cannot set a size and color of that outline, nor for the shadow, but is linked to text in some way.

So menubar widget to address those text properties quickly would be really apreciated.

with a better text manipulation, impress could compete with other digital signage solutions like scala or xibo.

thanks a lot.

Instead of a menu bar you can use a style sheet / drawing style. In the style you can determine which look your text should have. E.g.:

image description

Add a new text box to the slide. Mark the text. For “Drawing styles” right click on “Text” and choose New. In the dialog box “Drawing styles” give a new name. Choose font and size, as well as shadows and OK. Mark your text and double-click the new style.

For existing titles and subtitles, you can only change the existing styles.

thanks for the kind answer, but this is really too complicated.

if impress wants to be usefull in digital signage, have to improove the ease of use.

A presentation is not a “write docuement” but landscaped

this is what we got in our actual digital signage (windows xp is the lates version supportd):

of course we can choose the background image, but this app is so old that do not have a 16:9 layout
