How to change button color in dialog boxes?

The button field box colors are too dark to read what’s written in them.

The root issue is that focused button text doesn’t invert colour in most modules. Turning off high contrast in my Mac Accessibility CP helps a bit, increasing the contrast.

With high contrast turned on, highlighted buttons are almost unreadable black on dark blue. It appears the defect is module related, with system dialogue buttons like appearing inverted as expected, while are not. Buttons maintain black text while other elements like switch checkmarks, radio buttons, and pull-downs use inverted white on blue.

My LInux LO v6.3.4.2 is greyish everywhere, and default buttons aren’t highlighted with the same function as Mac OS, but at least it’s readable. Some highlighted buttons have contrasting outlines, but I really dislike the matched or slightly darker grey on grey found most places.

I assume there’s a problem adapting libraries between different operating systems, although I would have expected something like building a dialogue was somewhat generic.
