Find and replace in writer Libre Office 6.1.3.2 (64 bit) Windows 7 keeps changing what I put into the replace field to an earlier replace character/word/string. How do I fix it?

Find and replace in writer keeps changing what I want to replace to an earlier replacement string.
ie:

First Search & Replace:
Find: help.
Replace with: hell.

Second Search & Replace:
Find: wall
Replace with: well

If I don’t wait several seconds before telling it to replace all, or find next, Search and Replace changes the replace with field to: hell.

Change it back to well and go to select find next or replace all and it changes the field to hell. all on its own. It’s driving me bananas. It might … MIGHT let me change the field … eventually. However, I really am not used to having to change things over and over again to do a simple find and replace!

I was using version 4 up until a few days ago. In that version, after using Writer for a few hours, I had to shut it down using task manager, then restart it, because I’d press a quotation mark and get an @ symbol. That, I learned to live with. This arbitrary change of the replacement field is driving me crazy!

Then there’s how the screen jumps as I’m reading or writing as it updates the screen … Is there a bug report on this or something?

HELP!

[EDIT]
Uninstalled and tried it with LO 6.0.7.3 Same problem. I’m editing documents that require a large number of changes. This is impossible.

After having closed and opened anew the FIND&REPLACE tool, it worked well. - If you didn’t close the F&R window you would find the weird results.

.

Please don’t create wikis, please don’t ask several question in one query. - Thanks
