LibreOffice constantly crashes on OSX after latest update

I’m using the version that is available on the App Store.

A couple of days ago it updated to version 6.1.3. After the update I can’t even open an empty document: if I scroll for a while it eventually crashes and closes its window with the warning: LibreOffice Vanilla quit unexpectedly.

It’s simply unusable as any action (like scrolling) will take the whole CPU and after a short while the app crashes.

I’m using macOS Mojave 10.14.1 (18B75).

I copied a crash report to this pastebin.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how can I solve it?

I’ve noticed the same problem after updating LO Vanilla to version 6.1.3.3. I get spinning beach ball of death on a newer iMac with Mojave 10.14.1, yet same update works fine on an older MacBook Pro running El Capitan 10.11.6.

Last night’s update 6.3.1(4) seems to have fixed this problem!

Oops, I’m sorry, this only seems to be the case for the spreadsheets. I’m on a 2018 Air by the way.

Did not work for me, unfotunately. Writer is good now, but Calc still crashes all the time…
