Computer is HP 32 bit running Lubuntu 8.04 LTS. Just installed Libreoffice 6. when I open writer I get a bar along the top and nothing below it. Then office crashes. But I can open new document in calc and impress without any difficulty.
Ciao, did you try resetting user profile?
Hold down ctrl and H keys to make visible hidden files and delete the folder user in: home > your user name > .config > libreoffice > 4 > user.
