I am using Libre Writer to make computer screens for some comedy videos. I need a way to type in a serial number in a box. I found a way to do it by just making lines and pipe characters and typing on the line between, but once I had to do a second take, the number I had typed before appeared in a yellowish box as a hint to what I wanted to type. I can’t have that hint showing in the video. How can I turn if off? Or is there a better way? I tried a text box, but I have to show the numbers being typed into it on the video, and that looks awful.
See Tools→AutoCorrect→AutoCorrect Options...→Word Completion tab. You may disable the feature completely, or only tooltips.
