Page up/down in LibreOffice spreadsheet, Mac - how to

Hello

I am using LibreOffice the spreadsheet on Mac OS.

I would like to do a simple Page Up, or Page Down, in my long spreadsheet.

The ‘regular’ combination of keys for Mac for that (cmd + arrow up/down) is doing something else.

What are the key(s) I have to press to perform a Page Up/Down then?

I tried to google, etc, and didn’t find much about that, so that is why I am asking here.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help,

Cheers

Anne

Hello @AnneEst

Select Tools -> Customize... in menu, then go to Keyboard tab. There you can check, assing or modify key combinations for Page Up and Page Down commands.

You can find useful information about modifying keyboard combinations here.

It works a bit different. You first select key needed in Shortcut Keys window, then select function in Category/Functionwindow and then click Modify to assign key or combination to this function. In your case Modify is greyed out as ‘Page Up’ key is alreay assigned to Page Up command, there is nothing to modify.

I am using Apple full-size keyboard with Navigation and Numeric keypads, so in my LO there are separate keys assigned to these actions. If you have a short vesrion of the keyboard, you should take a look if there are some key combinations predefined and assign or reassign them according to your needs.

Thanks, I had found that, but then when I have selected the ‘Page Up’ shortcut key in the list, the ‘modify’ button is greyed out. See in my screenshot:

I had to do it this way because it is not possible to add an image (a screenshot) in a comment on a reply. That’s why I created a new answer. If you are an admin of the forum, this is maybe a feature you should considering adding: possibility to add image in a comment on a reply. Thanks for your understanding.

I am the same user as you are  You can always edit your own question, adding new details (images and files as well), correcting mistakes and so on. Here are Guidelines for asking This site has a bit different format than most of other forums.

The Modify button assigns the currently selected Shortcut Key (the top box) to the currently selected Function (the bottom middle box), so that the Keys box for the Function would contain the selected Shortcut. In case when the selected shortcut is already assigned to current function (the shortcut is already in the Keys), the Modify button is disabled.

Yes I see, thanks for you help

I found a workaround and opened the file in Python and created a pandas dataframe, so I could manipulate it much more easily.

Cheers and have a nice weekend
