Viewing base table from one platform in another platform

I want to view the table data entered into an odb on one platform (my wife's Mac) in an identical odb on my platform (also a Mac - I need to compare figures with my accounting program). Simply opening her odb on my platform just shows the original table that I created for her absent her additions. Is there a proper (i.e. easy) way to do this?

You have not stated the database being used. If it is an embedded database (HSQLDB or FIREBIRD) I fail to see how this is possible unless the wrong file was copied.

That distinction is beyond me. I just created the table, etc., in LibreOffice, which I'm guessing is HSQLB.

When dealing with questions in Base, often it is necessary to know which database is in use as the solution can be different based upon it. You can see which is in use on the main Base screen on the Status line (bottom line).

For example, with Firebird a save is necessary to commit the data to the database and with HSQLDB (and most others) it is not.

Go back to your wife's Mac and open the Base file to insure what you expect is there is actually there. Then copy that file to your Mac and it should be there. No reason not to be when dealing with an embedded database.

Feeling reassured from your answer, I had success after clearing my Mac of any missed file duplicates and restarting the Mac. Thanks!
