where can i find a Basic instruction book on line for LO calc?

how do i repeat a column heading farther down in the calc sheet?

Besides the Official Libreoffice Documentationmentioned above, an Internet search is probably your best bet or youtube.com. Something like: libreoffice macros tutorial.

Opensource.com has an article, "How to start writing macros in LibreOffice Basic".

There's a series at debugpoint, which seems to be well organized and updated.

You might find Chapter 5 Getting Started with Calc in the Getting Started Guide: Version 6.0useful. You can download this, free of charge, in PDF, EPUB, or .odt format from LO's documentation page https://documentation.libreoffice.org....

As fas as I know the most recent full user guide for Calc is for LO 4.1. You can also download it from the LO site.
