How can I insert a lowercase character after a period on LibreOffice Calc?

Hi

I am using LibreOffice version 1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.2.

I am trying to do something extremely simple: writing the expression “95% conf. int.” in a cell.
The problem is that, every time I try to do that, LibreOffice forces my expression from “int” to “Int”, with the uppercase letter.

I type “95% conf. int.”, it prints “95% conf. Int.”

Please notice the lowercase i that LibreOffice changes to uppercase I.

How can I write a lowercase character after a period in LibreOffice Calc?

Thanks

Hello

you neet to add an exception for abbreviations (no. Subsequent Capital). Select dialog via Tools-> AutoCorrect Options and add conf. as exception of an abbrevation.

After having confirmed the new entry by clicking OK an thus closing the dialog, your problem should be gone.

Another option would be to disable “Capitalize first letter of every sentence” in the same dialog but tab “Options”.
