Calc loses formatting every day

Hi,
I am new user to Libre Office and I found Calc app very useful. All spreadsheet I used couldn’t match excel, till now

Anyway I have one issue. I am using conditional formatting in most of my files to highlight some value, like most negative ones, or bigger that, less than, quite simple conditions. However, Calc uses my formatting every day, and every day I need to correct it, it makes few mins lost every day. What calc does is it change style set in conditional formatting to ConditionalStyle_1 from “Bad”, “Good” or “Error” which I set. It makes all cells looks the same, with no formatting.

Please advise what I need to do not to lost formatting every day.
My version info:
Wersja: 6.2.2.2 (x64)
Build ID: 2b840030fec2aae0fd2658d8d4f9548af4e3518d
Polish language package

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Tomasz

To make it clear: what format do you save the file(s) to?

Excel 2007-2019 xlsx format; using ODS would make even bigger problem to me

Ignoring

This document may contain formatting or content that cannot be saved in the currently selected file format “Excel 2007–2019”.

may cause your problem

Also: I have done this formatting in Libre Office Calc. And it’s so simple. I need to have access to it everywhere on every pc, ods is not universal

Don’t work in a foreign file format. Only after you have finished your work, export. And don’t expect 100% compatibility. If you need 100% compatibility, use the respective software. That’s it.

But also, please file a bug report, so that it might be fixed in the end - improving compatibility.

@gabix, you are right, but I thought if I work/save on libre calc, it should not loose anything; it’s not loosing in “translation” it’s loosing it without any help

@Mike2 - done
tdf#124788 - Libre Calc is losing conditional formatting every day

  1. You must mention that you save to XLSX.
  2. Attaching a test case file is a plus.

If you don’t, your report may be closed as not reproducible.

It’s also better to provide your system information in English.

done, thanks

Libre Calc files saved as XLSX does change the names of your conditional styles to ie “ConditionalStyle_1” , “ConditionalStyle_2”, etc

Solution:
adopt the new names (ConditionalStyle_1 and forget about your own conditional style names), you can edit style of (ConditionalStyle_1) to suit your preferences using the sidebar. You select style (ConditionalStyle_1) and modify it to match the font, background and colors of (conditional Good).
