in wp, I now have a 'line' to left of text. What is it? How remove?t

asked 2019-05-12 21:02:33 +0100

Somehow I managed to insert a function which shows a line to the left of my wp text. Cursor can't reach to remove. When I try to add new text to the right of this line I get a colored, underlined text. I thought this might be hypertext and tried to remove, but can't. I am a new simple-minded user and just learning. Can you tell me what the devil I did to add this feature, and how to remove it? Much thanks. pd.

It sounds like you've accidentally activated the track changes feature.

You can toggle it on or off with Ctrl+Shift+C or using the menus, Edit/Track Changes/Record

To get rid of the vertical bar in the left margin and the colored text, Edit/Track Changes/Accept All
