How to reset default style libreO writer?

I was attempting to try out the writer styles. Somehow, I set the new default style to a user-generated setting that is not the correct size and carries text and highlighting from a previous document.
How do I reset it to the original style?

To revert to “factory” settings, follow this procedure:

  • open the style sidepane (F11)
  • right-click on the to-be-reset style and Modify
  • in each tab, you want to reset, press the Standard button
  • when all tabs have been fixed, press the OK button

Do that for all the styles you have modified.

Note: due to inheritance between styles (with which you might not be familiar), the Standard button reverts the style to the inherited state of its ancestor. Consequently, do it with caution because you might erase some factory-set differences between the style and its ancestor and end up with all styles the same.

I assume you want to reset Default Style. This is safe because it is the ancestor of all other styles.
