What do Firebird and PostgreSQL do in LO ?

Both are database applications which can be used with Base

@robleyd Is Base the database ?

No, Base is not a database; Base is a full-featured desktop database front end which can use a number of databases as a back end.

https://www.libreoffice.org/discover/base/

@robleyd Thank you so much. I’m happy to know this. I’ve been using Firebird for decades under Windows on standalone computer. Now, I’ve migrated to Fedora Workstation, Fedora Server and LibreOffice. After converting all MS Excel files to LO Calc, I will move forward to LO Base.
But I think I’ll head for PostgreSQL for it comes with Fedora Server by default. I’m new to Linux and it will be convenient to use PostgreSQL. My database is not complicated for it is database of accounting system.
