I have a simple example spreadsheet Jan Feb Mar Petrol Bike Cash 10 10 39 Beer Cash 305 581 639

Food Cash 212 565 631
Papers Lottery Cash 35 130 0
Car Park/Wash Cash 39 63 72
Petrol Car Cash 200 56 0
Petrol Bike Card 20 0 122
Haircut Cash 117 169 210
Beer Card 80 36 0
Food Card 147 29 899

Five columns, representing commodities, type of spend (cash, card etc) and then the sum for each month. I can get a Pivot Table to show the commodities and the totals for each month.... and Grand Totals for each month (column) but I cannot get a row total to show me the total spend over the three months for each commodity.

    Data
Column A Sum - Jan Sum - Feb Sum - Mar
Beer 385 617 639
Car Park/Wash 39 63 72
Food 359 594 1530
Haircut 117 169 210
Papers Lottery 35 130 0
Petrol Bike 40 20 171
Petrol Car 200 56 0
Total Result 1175 1649 2622

How do I get a row total...to show for example that the total spend on beer is 1641?

I have ticked and unticked the Total Columns and Total Rows in Options when creating the Pivot... but no joy!

Many thanks on advance to anyone who can help!
