LibreOffice 6.2.4.2 Installation Wizard - ERROR Error 1303.

EDIT @Hrbrgr Is part of the introductory question:

The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\ProgramFiles\LibreOffice\Program. The installation cannot continue.

I just updated to Windows 10 Pro / version 1903 / 6/20/2019 / OS build 18362.175. Now I receive this error 1303, not received any installation errors or problems previously. Thank You for all help received.

@Hrbrgr: for answers (which this case seems to be) please use Answer instead of comment, so it’s clear the question was answered. Thanks.

@erAck Thank you for your hint. I’m going to try my best.

Have a look at this side.

Hello, i’ve just solved this problem on my computer, that was hard for me, so i want to share it.

Two things, im not the best speaking english and im not a computer, but lets try it.

Okay, this error happens because you dont have enough permissions to install a program or -the hardest, and my problem- the program -libreoffice in this case- dont have enough permissions to install itself. Sounds extrange, but that could happen.

Maybe you can remember that sometimes when you install a program right-clicking you have the chance to run as administrator, but here you cant. So, thats what we’re going to do, we are going to find the way to give permissions to libreoffice to install itself properly

Actually there are many options, im going to explain just one, the easiest to me. Let’s create a task to install libreoffice as administrator

FIRST OF ALL, IM ASSUMING YOURE THE ADMINISTRATOR OF YOUR PC AND HAVE ENOUGH PERMISSIONS IN YOUR ACCOUNT -see, it could be a problem like i said before-, IF NOT, YOU’LL NEED SOLVE IT BEFORE DOING THIS

  1. Press Windows button + R
  2. Write taskschd.msc and press enter
  3. Click on create a task
  4. Write the name you want for the task, for example, install LO, then, ENABLE "EXECUTE WITH THE HIGHEST PRIVILEGES"
  5. Click on Actions tab, there click on new action
  6. Choose the option of start a program, then look for the installer and select it
  7. Go to Conditions tab and make sure that “Start task only if the pc is charging” is DISABLED
  8. Go to Triggers tab and add a trigger based on time -are the easiest- and select, your actual time plus 2 minutes. That’s when the task will start. Mark the option “Just one time”.
  9. Click on accept and wait, the installation will begin when the time you selected comes.
  10. Install Libre Office normally, and, that’s it!!

Im going to put some screenshots, im spanish and my pc is in spanish too, but the place of the options is the same, so, you will find it useful
