Is there a way to control the specific colors that appear in the Recent section of the Background Color menu that appears in Calc? Basically, I want to be able to select the specific colors that appear and to have them remain unchanged. See attached screen capture for details.

Somehow, it appears that the some of the colors that appear in the Recent section appear at random, and that the Recent section appears to be periodically emptied by the system. I would like to have more control over the Recent section, to add/delete specific colors, and to empty the Recent section based on my decision and not some system decision.

Is any of the above possible? Please advise. Thanks!

The “Recent Colors” selection always refers to the currently used document.
To leave the colors in the “Recent colors” unchanged would contradict the actual purpose.

Up, above the colors is “Standard”, there you can also select other color palettes.

There is also the possibility to create your own color palettes.

It is not a standard feature of LibreOffice and requires a bit of skill in dealing with an editor.

Thank you for the information! I was unaware that I could create a custom color palette, which will provide an even better solution for my needs.

I have followed the instructions on how to create a custom color palette, but I have a question for you.

Q: Does each color group need to consist of 12 unique colors? I have created two color groups, one consisting of 6 unique colors and another consisting of 7 unique colors. Unfortunately, when I attempt to access my custom color palette, these two groups do not appear separate but joined. Additionally, one of the specified unique colors does not even appear, even though its listing appears to be correct.

Any idea what I might be doing incorrectly?
