change .pdf default from Draw to acrobat

when I double click a pdf file Libre opens it. I want acrobat to do so instead. made the changes in settings by file type to acrobat to no avail. how do I disable libre from opening pdf files by default?

You use which operating system? You did specifically which steps briefly mentioned by you as "made the changes in settings by file type to acrobat" (opened what, clicked where, chose what... etc.)?

And btw, you "double click a pdf file" where? it might even happen that you do that in a program not following system preferences, but using its own...

Windows 10, Settings, Apps, by file type, scroll to .pdf, make Acrobat default. Acrobat 2019.012.20035, Edit, Preferences, General, Select as Default PDF Handler, Change, Acrobat. Open pdf from web and Libre Draw opens file rather than Acrobat. Open pdf from computer by double clicking and Acrobat opens it.
