How do I move cells from rows into a single row?

How can I convert the following in Calc:

CG

Christopher

3rd Cousin

(1.08%)

4th Cousin

(0.37%)

No

DF

Doreen

3rd Cousin

(0.90%)

Distant Cousin

(0.07%)

No

DB

Dawn

3rd Cousin

(0.89%)

Distant Cousin

(0.07%)

No

NK

Nan

3rd Cousin

(0.46%)

Distant Cousin

(0.07%)

No

(there are no line spaces in the above)

to look like:

CG Christopher 3rd Cousin (1.08%) 4th Cousin (0.37%) No

DF Doreen 3rd Cousin (0.90%) Distant Cousin (0.07%) No

DB Dawn 3rd Cousin (0.89%) Distant Cousin (0.89%) No

NK Nan 3rd Cousin (0.46%) Distant Cousin (0.07%) No

The data is from a browser copy.

Can you provide a link to the source web page?

Lacking the source, is the result pasted all in one cell, or a single cell per line?

Do any options of Paste Special help you?

It’s a single cell per line. Paste Special gives me an HTML or unformatted text option. I’ve tried the latter. I’ve tried using Line Feed or Carrier Return, but can’t find the proper code to put in “Other” under Separator Options.

It appears that there is not an easy answer to my question. I have found a program that will interface with 23andme and download the data I need, though not quite the same as the online screen info.

Thank you for looking at this problem.

I could, but it wouldn’t help you. It’s 23andme.com and you need a subscription/DNA test to access it. Know anyone who has tested there?

BTW, the copy is the same with Firefox and with Chrome.

Note: please don’t use Answer for something that is not an answer to your question; edit your original question or use a comment.
