Using Windows 8 with LibreOffice Version 4.0.4.2

WRITER SHORTCUT
- Win8 → Desktop → Right click → New → Shortcut
- Create Shortcut (dialog)
- Browse (button) to where you installed “Libre Office”
- Browse for Files or Folders (dialog)
- Drill down to (eg) … C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\swriter.exe
- select the “swriter.exe” file
- [OK] btn click
- Create Shortcut (dialog)
- [Next] button left click
- type a name for your shortcut, eg “Libre Writer”
- [Finish] button, click
CALC SHORTCUT
- As per the above for “Writer” but drill down to …
- C:\Programs2\LibreOffice\program\scalc.exe" … when you browse.
